Big families are beautiful! Especially this big family. Getting 4 children to sit long enough for just a few traditional type family portraits during a session isn't always easy. But these kids were awesome! They were so willing to follow instructions and participate. They are so obviously a very close group.
We went to Swan Lake for this session. It is still one of my favorite places for portraits. I could spend an entire day there. The kids had a great time playing in the leaves. And it is so funny to watch the "girl energy" and the "boy energy" manifest itself. The girls busied themselves by gathering the leaves into lovely fall bouquets, while little brother just wanted to scoop up as many as possible and throw them in the air;-) I also brought along some goodies for the swans and geese. We had fun feeding them at the end of our session.

LOL - No fighting or tantrums, but a few tired tears were shed before we left. The little ones missed their afternoon nap to take advantage of the best light. And still, without the nap, they were awesome!

Finally somebody has been able to get the kids all standing still AND looking in the same direction at one time! The pictures of the family are gorgeous and the backdrop just really enhances the overall beauty. The photographer has an excellent eye for the perfect shot.

All of the pictures are fabulous and it would be very difficult to choose a favorite. Knowing the children makes it all the better because their personalities have been captured so well in the pictures.The colors and lighting make these the perfect fall family photos.
